SIMEM supplied a complete concrete production system designed for installation both on a quay and on a floating barge, with a strong focus on aggregate handling, transport, and controlled feeding into the batching process. On the quay side, the system includes aggregate storage bins (Bison bins with 2 compartments, total 16 m³ capacity), feeding conveyors with variable speed control, safety systems (ultrasonic sensors, pull cords, rotation sensors), and a radial movable inclined conveyor to adapt to different loading positions. On the barge, the material handling continues with multiple conveyor systems (inclined, horizontal, reversible, and translating belts) designed to distribute aggregates efficiently into storage areas and batching units. All conveyors are equipped with advanced safety protections, automatic lubrication, monitoring sensors, and maintenance walkways compliant with CE standards, ensuring safe and flexible operation in a marine environment.

The plant also integrates complete batching and production systems, including modular aggregate units (Nexus MASTER with multiple compartments), a twin-shaft concrete mixer (Rhyno 4000), cement and water dosing units (Falcon 4000), and multi-line admixture dosing systems with dedicated storage containers. Supporting systems include cement silos with full safety and filtration equipment, pneumatic and electrical distribution networks, automation and service containers for utilities, water management, and washing systems (Superwash). Additional components such as power generation (dual generator sets), wastewater treatment (Betonwash), CCTV monitoring, lighting, and operator facilities complete the installation. The entire system is engineered for heavy-duty, continuous production in a marine environment, emphasizing modularity, durability, automation integration, and operational safety.
