Bison 600M – Italy

The Simem Way

Rovigo, Italy

SIMEM supplied a continuous concrete production unit Bison 600M, designed as a compact and integrated system that combines material feeding, dosing, mixing, and control within a single steel structure. The plant includes aggregate, cement, and water dosing systems with wide operating ranges, all controlled by advanced electronic systems and inverters to ensure high precision and flexibility. At its core is a continuous twin-shaft mixer (MDC 501, 2×30 kW), installed with a slight inclination to optimize material retention and mixing efficiency, using highly wear-resistant components. The unit is equipped with an MCC control panel, water pressurization system, and discharge conveyor, allowing efficient and controlled production. The entire system is supported by an automation platform (Simematic FLOW) with PLC, real-time monitoring, reporting, and remote connectivity (SIMEM 4.0), ensuring full control of production parameters and performance.
The configuration is complemented by auxiliary systems including aggregate storage expansion (Bison bins with 3 compartments), cement silos with full safety and filtration equipment, screw conveyors, and moisture measurement sensors for process optimization. Additional infrastructure includes an operator cabin with HVAC, CCTV monitoring, compressed air system, water storage and distribution, and automatic mixer washing (Superwash). The plant is designed for high productivity, modular expansion, and ease of operation, with a strong emphasis on automation, durability, and integration of all supporting services needed for continuous concrete production.
